#8250 - HAND CRAFTED AND UNMARKED - OTHER THAN THE NUMBER 237 ON THE BOTTOM. THIS PIECE COULD BE VICTORIAN ERA BLACKWARE OR A JACKFIELD LIDDED PITCHER FROM THE LATE 1800’S TO EARLY 1900’S. THE METAL PART ON THE MAIN BODY IS AFFIXED BY RIVET-LIKE FASTENING. THE BLACK IS AN ENAMEL TYPE OF PAINT WITH HAND PAINTED FLORAL LEAFY GOLD TRIM AND PAINT BERRIES. THE SPOTS OF PAINT ARE RAISED TO FEEL LIKE BERRIES ON A VINE. NO CRACKS, CHIPS OR REPAIRS, JUST SOME MINOR SURFACE BLEMISHES HERE AND THERE DUE TO AGE. MEASURES: 8” (20 CM) TALL - TO TOP OF LID HANDLE BY 4.25” (11 CM) DIAMETER BASE.
