Royal Canadian Navy Sword measures 39 inches in scabbard, total length 37.5 inches with a blade length of 31 inches. Sword has gold wire knot attachment, with hilt displaying a Navy Anchor below Kings Crown. Sharkskin / stingray handle top has lions head with mane on handle spine. Blade is marked "By Appointment to the Late King George VI Wilkinson Sword Ltd Made in England" with floral and rope knot pattern, blank space for Officers name engraving, and Queen Elizabeth II Royal Cypher with Queens Crown and sun-ray pattern. The reverse has the Star of David, blank space for Officers name engraving, Anchor below Kings Crown and sun-ray pattern, and floral knot pattern. Section of hilt folds down to latch to scabbard- Scabbard is of leather construction with metal fittings. Scabbard is marked "RCN DND/59" for Royal Canadian Navy Department of National Defence, with a 1959 date.
